Picking an Event
Select a virtual hiring event that reflects on the talent you are looking for. Many virtual events we run cross over into different industries that provide you with an opportunity to build on your talent pipeline for different positions. If you’re unsure, simply reach out to us!
Selecting your Booth Style
Within each virtual career fair we run, as an exhibitor, you have the choice of a “Recruiter” booth or an “Educator” booth. If you’re looking to hire, you’ll want the recruiter booth and if you’re wanting to promote programs or courses you offer, select the educator booth. Did you know you can have multiple booths at an event! If your company/organization has locations across Canada, talk to us about setting up additional booths for an event.
Branding Your Booth
Your virtual booth is a fully branded, immersive showcase of your organization – customizable with your logo, corporate colors, featured video, and a compelling company description. Highlight your workplace through a rich image gallery, upload job postings, programs, and courses, and present your culture and opportunities in a clear, engaging way.
Setting Chat Availability
Each one day virtual hiring event typically runs from 9am to 4pm (7 hours) and provides you with 28 – 15 minute chat sessions in your booth to engage with talent interested in your company/organization. You have the opportunity to select the timeslots that your not available to chat i.e. lunch, meetings etc. At any time, you can toggle these back on to make yourself available.
Uploading Job Postings or Programs/Courses
Within each virtual booth, you have the option to upload as many as 20 job postings or programs/courses. If you have more than 20, you can simply add 19 and then use the last field to promote more career opportunities on your own career page on your website by using the following title: “View all our job postings/career opportunities” with the URL pointing to your careers page! Important: Upload as many jobs or programs/courses as you can for the simple reason that if jobseekers see only 1 or 2 listed in your booth, they may feel there are not many job opportunities or programs/courses available with your company/organization!
Event Preparation
In much the same way with a “live” in-person career fair, prepare yourself the same way with a virtual event. Our events offer a very easy paced environment that won’t overwhelm you no mater where you are. Prepare your questions, find a quiet room/area and enjoy the experience!

Finding a Virtual Career Fair
Select a virtual hiring event that reflects on the talent you are looking for. Many virtual events we run cross over into different industries that provide you with an opportunity to build on your talent pipeline for different positions. Check back here often as we post all our events on the Eventium website, in our Reddit Eventium Communities. You can also create a profile in Eventium365 where you’ll be notified of any event that matches your candidate profile. If you’re unsure, simply reach out to us!
Registering for an Event
When you register for a virtual career fair or Eventium365, you create your login credentials (email & password) and then proceed to upload your resume in a matter of minutes. From there, you can create your own custom profile. Important: Remember that your login credentials (email + Password) can be used with ANY virtual career fair we run as well as with Eventium365.
Branding Your Candidate Profile
One of the unique features offered by Eventium is the option to upload & scan your resume and then brand your jobseeker/candidate profile with a colour scheme and header image. A fully branded profile can make you stand out in a crowd and make the difference of how an employer views you. Have fun and make it your own!
Browsing Company Booths
Now that you’ve signed up with a virtual career fair or Eventium365 and you’re ready to go, you need only wait for the day of the event to login and start browsing participating companies/employers that interest you. Take the time to learn more about the employer and the types of positions they are hiring for. Inside each event, you’ll see recruiter booths (looking to hire) and educator booths (offering programs/courses).
Booking 1 on 1 Chat Sessions
Once you’ve found and located those companies/organizations that interest you, you can simply book and reserve a 1 on 1 chat session in a timeslot that fits your own schedule. Important: Ensure you take the time to show up for your scheduled chat session and prepare your self.
Event Preparation
Preparing ahead of time will help you get the most value from your virtual career fair experience. Before the event, review the list of participating employers and take time to research the companies and roles that interest you most. Update your resume, prepare a brief introduction about yourself, and think through a few thoughtful questions to ask recruiters.
During the event, take advantage of one-on-one chat sessions to make meaningful connections – be professional, confident, and focused on how your skills align with their needs. Following up with recruiters after the event can also help reinforce your interest and keep the conversation going. It’s also important to realize that recruiters have taken the time to be at an event, so please ensure you attend your booked chat sessions.
